I love my job. I get to meet so many amazing people, I get to work from home (for the most part), do something different every session, see different places, it’s all good – except for having to rely pretty heavily on the weather. Now, going into August, I thought it was smooth sailing – it’s usually a pretty dry month here in Calgary but this year has been different… especially the weekend of these two shoots. Neither could be rescheduled – they had to happen. Both days rain was in the forecast. The first shoot I’ve posted started out in a hotel room as the rain came down hard outside. Nothing a few bubbles and some laughs couldn’t cure though, and as the rain cleared, we headed outside. That evening it worked for us. The next, not so much but thank goodness I had awesome clients willing to make the best of it… in the pouring rain (which you can see in those last shots if you look closely). When the hail started though, we had to pack it in. And as I look at this coming week with a few more shoots and a wedding, and a very wet forecast, I’m just keeping my fingers crossed.
