When a client comes to me with an idea of a family meal, I get excited. And not only a meal but everything from picking the vegetables in the backyard, to the prep and finally the sitting down to enjoy. We envisioned a sunny evening, a barbecue outside, kids playing in the yard… the stuff summers are made of. But this is Calgary and you can never count on the weather. As the dark clouds rolled in we hoped for the best but just as the barbecue went on, the rain started to come down. A quick change of plans and the kitchen table was set but then, before we knew it, the sun was shining. Another table was set and it was desert outside in their gorgeous backyard.  (and this family of five is soon to be a family of six… I can’t wait)
