It seems not that long ago that I found myself shooting my first engagement session and my very first wedding for a sweet, young couple who now I now consider good friends. Rachael and Bob – this is their life now… one adorable little Sam later. It was actually their fourth session with me and the second session in a row I got to meet up with past wedding clients and photograph them as a family… I love that!
This session is also a testament to what I tell clients again and again when they’re stressing about where their photo session should take place. It’s not the location that makes for a great shoot – it’s the people. The smiles, the laughter and the fun. Rachael had planned on taking me to a pretty little spot with trees and water they visit often but when we got there, we were swarmed by mosquitoes so we quickly headed to a nearby park, let Sam play a bit and then landed on a basketball court that happened to have great light at that time. Nothing fancy, just gorgeous evening light.
Simple surroundings make it easy for me to focus on you… let you become the stars of the shoot!
