I consider myself extremely lucky to do what I do for a living. It’s something I love, something I’m passionate about and allows me to connect with people I otherwise likely wouldn’t have the chance to meet. Families I photograph often become friends, I watch their kids grow, get a peek inside their life at home… it’s all pretty special.

This is my third time photographing this particular family and every time I come away with the biggest smile on my face. Not only are their kids super cute and sweet, they’re just so easy to work with. They invite me into their lives for a couple of hours and just go about their day as if I wasn’t there – allowing me to capture who they really are. That’s not an easy thing to do but these guys do it beautifully. I get to hear stories, shares laughs and see a tiny piece of what their life is like and that’s huge!

A few weeks ago we played in some leaves, went for a walk and hung out by the river… a perfect night. We even spotted a bald eagle!
